There is a consensus among geologists that the North Australia and Gawler/South Australia Cratons had common origins and were attached. This presentation explores the timing of this angular separation by examining the ages of the separated Mafic-Ultramafic events of each Craton along with events in the Musgrave Province of Central Australia.
