The library@esplanade, Singapore's first performing arts library, was officially opened on 12 September 2002 by Mr Khaw Boon Wan, then Senior Minister of State for Transport and Information, Communication and the Arts.A one-stop resource library for the performing arts, library@esplanade also offers information and services in the areas of music, dance, theatre and film. The library's location on the third level of The Esplanade, Theatres on the Bay is unique within Singapore, and makes it one of the few libraries in the world to be co-located within a performing arts complex. It spans an area of 2,300 square metres.Slide4
Getting to Esplanade
TaxiThe taxi stand is located at the Esplanade Mall entrance along Raffles Avenue.BusThe Esplanade is easily accessible via public buses. Bus numbers: 36, 56, 70M, 97, 111, 133, 162M, 195, 502, 531, 1N, 2N, 3N, 4N, 5N, 6N, 75, 77, 106, 700A, 857, 960, 961, NR1, NR2, NR5, NR6, NR7, NR8. Esplanade is just a 10-minute walk from the City Hall and Esplanade Circle Line (Exit D) Stations through an underpass which also links four shopping centres –

Tour InformationDuration: 45 minutesWalk-ins are welcome on a first-come-first-served basis. Meet at the Concert Hall Information Counter (Concourse, Level 1) before the tour starts at the following times:Tuesdays to Fridays: 9am, 12.30pm and 2pmSaturdays & Sundays: 9am onlyGroup Bookings should be made at least 14 days in advance. A minimum of 20 persons is required for a group tour. To make a booking, please email foh@esplanade.com or call 6828 8377.
