What’s being done

to

secure extra funding…End-2013: IOC-WADA initiated Anti-Doping Research FundThe IOC pledged to match up to $10 million towards athlete-centred anti-doping researchGovernments contributed $6 million, which the IOC matched for a total of $12 million, which has been put towards innovative science and social science research

End-2015

, WADA initiated Investigations Fund

Following the IC

Report,

Sir Craig Reedie wrote to governments to ask for

additional contributions toward further investigations

This has realized

approximately $

650,000 from Governments,

which

the

IOC

will be asked to match

Early

2016: Sir Craig Reedie called on sponsors and broadcasters to fund clean sport

Sport market consists of sponsorships, gate revenues, media rights (which includes broadcast television) and merchandisingConservative 2015 estimate places value at $145 billion*Broadcasters: 0.5% tariff on the estimated $35 billion* annual media rights figure would put $175 million more in WADA’s coffers Sponsors: Organizations that sponsor sanctioned athletes could attribute the money to the anti-doping

movement

instead
