Note: The initial application onto the bare wood is made with Bona Wood Floor Primer.Apply the primer in sections, without interruptions. Plan your application, taking into account where you will start and exit the room.Previously varnished/painted surfacesPreviously varnished or painted surfaces can be treated directly with new paint. However, before such work is performed, a test must be done to verify that the adhesion is satisfactory. Clean the floor and lightly abrade on a few places on the floor. Apply paint to the abraded areas. After 24 hours, scratch the surface gently with a coin. If the paint remains firmly attached to the floor, adhesion is satisfactory and the work can be continued. If the paint peels, it is necessary to sand the floor down to bare wood before applying paint.1.Clean the oor thoroughly with Bona Wood Floor Cleaner. Repeat if necessary. 2.Rub down the surface with abrasive paper grit 120-150. Make sure no areas of the oor remain untouched by the sanding.3.4.When Can My Floor Be Used Again? The oor will usually take light foot trafc 8 hours after application.
