Other Programs Affected CalFresh County of San Diego, Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI) S pecial Notice Payment Standards for CAPI Effecive January 20 Number Page 20 - 01 2 of 2 CAPI grant adjustments due to COLA and CAPI Payment Standard changes will be treated in the CalFresh case according to SemiAnnual Reporting/Prospective Budgeting (SAR/PB) regulations.CAPpayments are considered Public Assistance (PA) income. The actual monthly CAPI grant amount must be used each month to compute CalFresh benefits.Changes to PA benefits are considered “KnownCounty” information. Staff should budget the new or updated CAPI grant aountandreview for possible CalFresh benefit increases or decreases. Increase CalFresh benefits if the calculation indicates an increase. Decrease CalFresh benefitthe first of the month for which timely notice can be provided if the calculation indcates decrease.Refer to CalFresh Program Guide Letter #586(page 12 of 17).
