By Grace Thru Faith!A.Ephesians 2:1-10 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our ßesh, indulging the desires of the ßesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ ( by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.!1.Saved by His grace through our faith!B.The process of our lives being changed. Two points of seeming contradiction. willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless? Was not Abraham our father justiÞed by works when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected;!1.James 2:22 ÒYou see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected;Ó!a)It is by choosing to obey that my faith is perfected. !!!!IV.The process of Transformation !a)laying aside the old ways of doing things and substituting them with the new self and the ways that God does things. !(1)Do not make the mistake of trying to stop doing something, yet not be proactively pursuing something positive. !(2)There is power in pursuing something greater. It is the pursuit of what is right and good, that prefects our faith. Simply stopping doing what is wrong, does not have the power to transform your life. !b)The power of Vision!(1) = what is it that you are wanting to happen? Clarify it. ! Instead, Be kind to one another, tender- hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you!V.Conclusion!A. You have a race to run. You have a calling to answer. !B.Sin will trip you up and keep you from fulÞlling what God has called you to.!C.The process of overcoming is not only about stopping what is wrong, but
