PIN Nutrition and Food Security Program has developed 2 types of supplementary food kits :1) For pregnant (starting with third trimester of pregnancy) and lactating women with children under 5 month old;2) For infants of 6-12 month old age.
- not to provide a child of 0-6 month old age with products-breast milk substitutes ;- to provide a child of 6+ month age with supplementary food products of a good quality, content corresponding to the age and nutritional value. Recommendations The following recommendations of WFP, UNICEF and NSC were taken into consideration during development of the content of the mentioned food kits: - to provide a pregnant/lactating woman with a supplementary food kit with a higher nutritional value;

Conclusion The distribution of the mentioned 16,000 FKs will take place on one occasion only.We keep in view the extension of PLW and Baby Nutrition Project and expect the application of our outputs in the further activities of PIN and our partners in the Nutrition Sub-Cluster.
