Day 1 - Transportation

Fly from Sydney International Airport to Narita International Airport (New Tokyo International Airport) with Japan Airlines. Japan Airlines is the only Japanese Airline that flies to Sydney and Tokyo directly. (If you want, there is a choice of flights). The flight between Sydney and Tokyo takes approximately 10 hours. After you’ve arrived in Tokyo exchange Australian Dollars to Japanese Yen. After you’ve exchanged your money, and if you are ready, go to your hotel and relax.Slide3

Day 2 – Asakusa / 浅草

On your first day of sightseeing in Tokyo, Japan, I suggest you visit Asakusa which is a place that has many Japanese traditional buildings, shops and

restaurants. You will feel you have slipped back in time to the Edo period. Slide5

Day 5 – Fuji Mountain

/

富士山

In the morning go to Tokyo station and get on the bullet train. Go near Fuji mountain then change to the Fuji Line and go behind Fuji mountain. The journey between Tokyo and Fuji mountain takes around 3 hours. If you would like to climb to the summit it takes around 3 hours. Fuji mountain is 3776m high. You can explore some of the villages around Mount Fuji and again eat some Japanese dishes. If you would like a fun challenge you may go to a Ryokan (Japanese Hotel) and enjoy a hot spring. Don’t forget to catch your return train otherwise you will miss what you will be doing tomorrow!Slide11

Dishes / お食事

One of the greatest things to do in Japan is to eat. I believe Japan has got the world’s greatest foods, such as sushi tempura. I will show you some Japanese dishes. Each city has its own traditional dishes so I think you will enjoy these.

Japanese dishes are not only delicious. They are also beautiful.Slide12

Souvenir / お土産

Unfortunately you cannot take foods to Australia because they are very strict so I would buy some key rings etc. for souvenirs. Choose something that is uniquely Japanese or some cute stuff bought at Disney Resort or Tokyo Sky Tree. I really like the fact that Japan is very cheap compared with Australia. Personally I would buy some stuff that I cannot buy in Sydney. The pictures below are some examples of souvenirs.(This will count foods, sweets etc.)
