1. Improve visibility of forward-(and rearward)-facing direction indicatorsIdeas to be discussed:Area:UN R 48 6.5.5.2.:“To be considered visible, the lamp shall provide an unobstructed view of the apparent surface of at least 12.5 square centimetres, except for side direction-indicators of categories 5 and 6. The illuminating surface area of any retro-reflector that does not transmit light shall be excluded.”UN R 53, UN R 74 and UN R 86: no specification of min apparent surface. Increase the minimum area of apparent surface in UN R 48 to [50 cm2] and implement a minimum area of the apparent surface requirement in UN R 53, UN R 74 and UN R 86. (… also for rear- and front position lamps!)SLR-62-08

2. VisibilityRearSmall distance between Rearward-facing DI and Stop-Lamp cause visibility issues if the contrast is not clear enough. possible solution:categorization of rearward-facing DI depending on the distance to the Stop-Lamp like forward-facing DIRequirement of a minimum distance between DI and Stop-LampFrontIn addition to the distances to passing beam already required, considering objective assessment to ensure that forward-facing DI are clearly visible
