Going to the dentist, most people don’t enjoy this thing. Here is something you should expect if you’ve been told you have to have wisdom teeth removal . 1. It’s a common procedure Wisdom teeth extraction has been had by a lot of people. It occurs when a person is a teen or young adult more often than not but it can occur whenever deemed neces sary. There can be a variety of reasons that they have to come out, coming in at the wrong angle including being impacted. They have gum disease or cavities and your mouth isn’t large enough to accommodate them. 2. Post - surgery process After the surgery how you feel will depend on the type o f anesthesia you received. You may feel well enough to drive yourself home if you had a local injection. You will need someone to drive you home if you were put to sleep. You will be sore after the surgery. Even though it was simple again it was still a major extraction. On your face, placing ice will help reduce swelling. To exercise the muscles in your jaw and keep them loose, you may also be advised to use heat and open and close your mouth gently . For a while, you’ll have to eat soft foods because of the pain. You have to advise that you drink plenty of fluids and until the next day doesn’t brush your teeth. From the doctor, you’ll receive medication for the swelling and wisdom tooth pain and yo u should take these as advised. Teeth removal can be a daunting prospect but it is also incredibly common.
