)Registration: Flock owners must register with their local District Veterinary Office (D.V.O.) Identification: All sheep require being tagged by 9 months of age or earlier if leaving the holding

Movement Sheep moving off the holding must be accompanied by a Dispatch Docket and flock-owners should ensure that they receive a dispatch docket when sheep move onto the holding.When sheep are sold through a Mart /Meat plant that movement is recorded on the Animal Movement and Identification System (A.I.M) Farm to Farm movements – the Purchaser is responsible for returning the Dispatch Docket to the District Veterinary Office within 7 days.

Record Keeping Flock owners must maintain an up to date Flock Register and retain records including Dispatch Dockets of sheep moved on and off the holding for 3 years.

Flock owners must complete and return an annual census inventory to DAFM and record the detail in the Flock Register.

Tagging Requirements From 01 June 2019 Sheep under

12 months of age when moving direct to slaughter at minimum must be tagged with an EID tag in the

right ear

All sheep including lambs going to marts, other farms or shows must be tagged with an

EID tag set

or with and EID bolus set consisting of a blue tag on the left ear matched with a ruminal bolus.

A sample of dispatch dockets from the previous 3 years (max of 8) to see if they correctly recorded in the flock register
