that King John

was not right

for the role of

King of England and the job was too big for him.

My statement is supported by the fact that he lost the majority of the Angevin Empire that his predecessors had conquered for him. He also quarrelled with the Pope, over who should be the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Irish after mocking them and King Phillip II of France. His barons even rebelled against him and forced him to agree to the Magna Carta!
