After a population boom, the population has decreased traumatically. Your natural resources have been severely depleted.. Grassland biomes are large, rolling terrains of grasses, flowers and herbs.. Central Sudan (East) – combination of desert grasslands and wooded grasslands. Southern Sudan – mostly forest and wooded grasslands, very fertile due to the White Nile and Sue . Jer. rivers. Central Sudan (West) – not as arid as the North, a combination of semi-desert grassland, grassland & forest. Consist mostly of cone-bearing evergreen trees that keep their needles year-round to help the trees survive long and cold winters.. Figure 5-23. Tropical Rain Forest. Tropical rain forests have heavy rainfall and a rich diversity of species.. Animals & Their Environment. 2015. What is a grassland?. Dominant vegetation is grass. Make up about 25% of the land on earth. Found on all continents except Antarctica. Generally fairly flat and open. Grasslands Although grasslands are the dominant land use cover across Devon, there is great variation in their wildlife value.
