Q I’m a man who thinks men should choose the right hairstyle and maintain it. How do I go about doing this? A I totally agree that hairstyle is important to male grooming, and a good haircut can frame a person’s face and accentuate its shape. I understand most men would rather spend on gadgets or hobbies than on a good hairdresser. But it is important to nd a professional who can listen to nd this hairdresser, stick with him or her and build a long-term relationship. Now on the tricky issue of baldness, if it can’t be treated medically, I suggest men should just shave their heads, rather than let two strands of hair hang across their foreheads. A skinhead look can now be very trendy and is more appealing than trying to pretend you have hair when you don’t. For men who have short hair, it’s advisable to trim it accounting manager, who looked younger and more refreshed than when I last met him – and it was because his newly trimmed hair gives edge to his face and enhances his jawline. Different styling products like wax, gel or spray give your hair different textures or effects. If you can’t x your hair with gel, it’s a sign that you may need to cut your hair. To keep it simple, replicate what your hairdresser uses at the salon. Generally, you hair, but I have seen many men who smother the roots of their hair and their scalp with hair gel. This will only make your scalp more visible and make you look like you have less hair. Too much styling product can also clog pores and lead to problems such as oily scalp, dandruff and hair loss. Keeping your hair clean and free of dandruff is just Skinhead can be edgy Image consultant Caroline Sze shares tips on hair-styling and applying makeup as important as a good haircut. Wash your hair and make you, and maybe even your co-workers and clients, feel better. Q I worked very late last night and I have a meeting in the morning. How can I make myself look revitalized? A I had the same experience as an auditor during peak accounting seasons. After you work late into the night, your skin needs moisture more than ever to rejuvenate. Spare 10 minutes to put on a hydration mask before you go to bed, or use one while you shower in the morning. skin. Some makeup artists advise mixing a bit of face moisturizer or serum into your foundation for smoother application, but I prefer using by Terry’s Skin Enhancer in a rose or apricot shade to create a more supple and glowing look. Instead of using loads of concealer to hide dark circles under your eyes (which tends to reveal more dry lines), try touching up with an eye corrector like YSL’s Touche Éclat rst and then apply concealer bit by bit. but this will only bring attention to your tired eyes. Instead, try applying a healthy peach pink blush and rosy lipstick to lighten up your cheeks and lips, and keep your eye makeup minimal, or just draw a plain black ick eyeliner (one that tilts upwards at the end). All these will help make you look sharper and less tired.
