What is Early Alert?
The Early Alert program is designed for faculty/instructors to identify students who need assistance because of attendance concerns, academic performance, class participation, and/or behavior issues etc... Contact will be made or attempted by the Office of Academic Support to the student, and the proper assistance or referral will be given to the student.Slide3

This should be reported in the first two weeks of the semester. Reasons to report a student:
Student not attending classSlide5

This should be reported in the third and fourth week of the semester. Reasons to report a student:
Student has never attended class
Student has 3 or more absences
Poor Academic Performance
Behavior Problems

Log on to

Click on My NMHU
Click
on Enter a Secure Area
Click on Faculty and Advisor
Click on
“Early Alert”
Select your term
Select the course
Select the student and the reasons they are being early alerted
