Easy mask greenteQ Easy mask is ideally suited for covering, masking and protecting larger surfaces as well as component edges such as beams, door frames, windows and window sills. greenteQ Easy mask consists of a stable 50ยต LDPE lm with two adhesive edges. It can simply be pulled off the roll and stuck on. greenteQ Easy mask is environmentally friendly, as the adhesive edges do not require silicon paper covering, which avoids waste. The LDPE lm is plasticiser-resistant and can also be used with weather-worn PVC plastics without any problems. The acrylate adhesive is highly temperature- and ageing-resistant and displays high stability with regard to UV radiation and oxidation. The longer the bonding period, the higher the adhesive power. With greenteQ Easy mask, surfaces and edges such as windows, doors, window sills, beams, door frames and other components are covered and masked in one step. Thanks to the two stable adhesive edges, the lm can be handled with ease and precision. This can help to save time and costs. greenteQ Easy mask can also be used with weather-worn PVC substrates Product picture: Technical data: Temperature range:Tensile strength:Tape base material:(store in a dry, dark place and free of frost) Name:Packaging unitVBH item numbergreenteQ Easy mask 19530 rolls, 50217.268 / 2616greenteQ Easy mask 300 mm12 rolls, 50217.268 / 2617greenteQ Easy mask 500 mm12 rolls, 50217.268 / 2618 PRODUCT DATA SHEET ADHESIVE TAPES – Easy maskEdition 02/2014 | www.greenteQ.info The instructions for use, service and product details as well as other technical information for our greenteQ products are general guidelines. These serve only to describe the properties and performance features of our products and do not constitute a guarantee as per Section 443 of the BGB (German Civil Code). Due to the variety of possible applications, it is incumbent upon the user to test whether or not it is suitable for the desired application. Technical application advice provided by us verbally, in The substrate must be dry, dust- and grease-free.Check the substrate prior to bonding. This is usually done visually, with a wipe test, a scratch test or an adhesive tape tear-off test (test bonding). The adhesive tape tear-off test involves applying adhesive tape that has greater adhesive power than the one intended to the substrate. If possible, this should be done in a concealed spot. The tape should be afxed on a length of approx. cm, pressed on rmly and then torn off abruptly. In the case of unsound (e.g. weather-worn) substrates it is recommended to do a 24-hour test bond with the intended adhesive tape in order to estimate the If tear-off damage occurs during test bonding, an adhesive tape with weaker If the adhesive surface is exposed to direct sunlight when bonding with glass with UV-resistant acrylate adhesive should be used. We recommend greenteQ greenteQ adhesive tape with as small an adhesive power as possible should be used for wood (coated or uncoated), e.g. greenteQ UV contour special masking tape. Remove the adhesive tape slowly and at an angle to prevent the wood or the coating from being torn out. Additional adhesive tape (e.g. greenteQ PVC multitape) can be applied on top of the greenteQ UV contour special masking Adhesive tape with as small an adhesive power as possible should also be used for wall coverings such as wall paper or textiles, e.g. greenteQ UV contour speIn the case of plastics, the age or weathering of the material are important. Weather-worn plastics can be critical for the bonding due to decomposition prodIn rare cases, the plastic can become discoloured due to the plasticisers migratDiscolouration or separation of coating, for example, can also occur with coated metals in rare cases. Metal substrates should always be fully masked. Care must be taken that no bubbles form when bonding the full surface. Reactions with the Natural stone substrates are generally not suitable for bonding as the reactions Discolouration and the separation of coatings from the substrate materials are beyond our control. We can thus not accept responsibility for this.To mask larger vertical surfaces, such as doors, lay the roll down and pull the lm Do not overstretch greenteQ Easy mask when unrolling so that it does not bulge on the bonded surface. Pressing greenteQ Easy mask on rmly improves adhesion. This also prevents the coating from creeping underneath the adhesive edges. Sharper contours are achieved this way.Always remove greenteQ Easy mask slowly and evenly. Do not tear it off the substrate abruptly. After processing, remove greenteQ Easy mask immediately. Warming with hot air can make it easier to remove greenteQ Easy mask; check the substrate. Depending on the substrate, residues of greenteQ Easy mask can be removed with special cleaning agents (benzine etc.). We recommend greenteQ PVC cleaner 10 for PVC window proles and greenteQ Alu cleaner for aluminium window proles. Use a suitable cleaning agent for wooden windows. Left-over greenteQ Easy mask can be disposed of with domestic waste. Please General information:All previous versions of this data sheet are no longer valid.
