However, the issue as we see it is to identify a useful and examining ÒhallucinogenÓ from the perspec-tive of the induction of mind voyaging, the termis no longer constrained within the fixed, patho-logical framework Dr. Lenderts suggests.There are many words in the English lan-guage which no longer are referent to their origi-nal meaning. We would wish that by using an-other term for ÒhallucinogenicÓ or ÒpsychedelicÓor ÒentheogenicÓ plants and chemicals Ñ if wecould all agree on one Ñ that we will challengeor even change the preconceived notions andprejudices of others, but weÕre not necessarilyconvinced that this would be the case.Our argument is basically a practical oneÑ the key is context.
