We had a girls team and a boys team. 7 children played on each team. Each game lasted 12 minutes. We played against Glenswilly N.S., Scoil Mhuire Ramelton and Scoil an Leanbh Íosa, Carrigans. Well done to Castletown girls. They drew 7 points with Glenswilly N.S. and went to penalties. Unfortunately we didn’t get through to the finals. We are very proud of our girls!

Aquatics – Aura Leisure Centre During Term 3, 1st – 6th class attend swimming lesson in The Aura, Letterkenny for 7 weeks. We have 4 coaches. Children learn how to put their face and head under the water, kick their feet and swim with a float. As the children progress, they work on learning and improving the different strokes – front crawl, breast stroke, doggy paddle and back stroke. Children receive certificates based on their level of achievement.

Land Paws Michael Keane will visit the school on Thursday 23 rd May to teach us very important water safety skills. Our school is situated close to the River Foyle so educating our children on the importance of water safety is vital.

Running Initiative For the month of March, children from all classes will run every Tuesday and Thursday morning. A fast track and a slower track will be set up. Children will begin by walking and then lead into a light jog. The aim is to walk/jog/run for 15 minutes without stopping.
