Homemade Oreo Cookies

Estimated Time: 30 Minutes Serving Size: 30-40 CookiesOrigin Background and Comments:The first time I got the chance to make this cookie was in junior high, in my cooking CTE class. This class was filled with different types of food ranging from appetizers to snacks to desserts. This recipe of course was everyone’s favorite. Ever since I’ve made these cookies for birthday get togethers and holidays. This recipe is always a favorite treat for all kids and most adults. Enjoy!

Ingredients:1 Box of cake mix (preferably chocolate, but yellow also works great)2 Eggs3 Tablespoons of Vegetable oil½ cup of vanilla frostingDirections:Preheat Oven to 350 DegreesIn a Large mixing bowl combine: cake mix, egg, and vegetable oil. Then Mix well.Roll into small balls about the same size of a large marble.Place a greased cookie sheet about 1’ apart.Bake at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes.Place cookies on a rack and allow to cool for about 5 minutes.Frost one of the cookies and place it on another to make a sandwich.Slide2

Chocolate Butterscotch Pudding Pie

Estimated Time: 30-40 MinutesServing Size: 10 SlicesOrigin Background and Comments:This recipe is my grandma’s. She has been making this pie for the last 10 thanksgivings ( for me about my whole life) that we have celebrated as a family. This year I got the chance to cook it with her and it was an amazing and delicious pie. This pie only cooks for 5 minutes in the oven the rest is a no-bake pie. This recipe was handed down from her mom and now lies into my hands and yours. I hope you enjoy it!Ingredients:Premade pie crust or homemade pie crust.(suggested Graham flavored crust) Jell-O name brand pudding ChocolateJell-O name Brand pudding Butterscotch½ egg

Directions:1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees.2. Break egg and whisk egg until the yoke is all yellow.3. Brush the egg yolk onto the crust and put in oven for about five to ten minutes.4. Cook the butterscotch pudding according to the box.5. Place pudding into crust allow it to settle for about 15 minutes.6. Cook the chocolate pudding according to the box.7. Then place the chocolate over the butterscotch in the pie crust.8. Let the pie settle for another 15 minutes and refrigerate.9. Take out and enjoy!
