TWEE RIVIEREN RESEARCH FACILITIES A. Accommodation: A t wo bedroom accommodation unit is available (named Lion House) . One bedroom has a double bed with air conditioning and the other bedroom has two single beds with a ceiling fan. The unit has o ne bathroom with a bath, shower , toilet and basin. The unit has a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge/freezer, microwave and 4 - plate gas stove. It has a small living area with chairs and tables both inside and outside. A four bedroom research house is a vailable (named Cheetah house) and has three bedroom s each with two single bed s and one bedroom with a double bed and an en suite bathroom with bath/ shower, toilet and basin. An additional bathroom with shower, toilet and basin is also available. A ll bedro oms have ceiling fans and the house has a water cooler unit installed. The unit has a fully equipped kitchen and a furnished living area . A carport, as well as rain water for drinking is available at both accommodation units . NO housekeeping facilities are available therefore research units need to be serviced by researchers. Sponges, dish cloths & dishwashing liquid is provided. B. Office and Official: A key is provided for access to the research office which you are welcome to use as a work space. There are power points available, built in counters to work on, a safe if you require and printing facilities. There is internet provided via satellite for you to conduct research, email etc. A pair of decals for your car will be i ssued to you for a R100 deposit. These are to be displayed at all times when doing research in the park. C. General  Not all windows have mosquito netting, therefore it is recommended that you bring your own mosquito repellents.  Linen & towels are provided.  A braai facility is available with outside table and chairs. Please supply your own charcoal/wood.  There is a small but rather expensive tourist shop, we suggest that you buy all you need in Upington before you arrive in Twee Rivieren.  Petrol and diesel a re available at Twee Rivieren, Mata Mata and Nossob D. Making a Reservation Please contact Duduzile Job ( dudzile.job@sanparks.org ) via email for reservations and accommodation enquiries. Please supply the following information when making a reservation: 1 Client code or your ID or passport number 2 Contact telephone number and email address 3 Date of arrival and departure 4 Number of guests E. Cost Accommodation is R80 p.p.p.n , Researchers will not be charged conservation fees. Other bookings will be charged the conservation fees. F. On arrival Please report to reception at the Twee Rivieren Gate with your booking confirmation letter to check in and pay (if you haven’t already). The receptionist will then give you the house keys. A map to the research camp is provided below. Late arrivals will not be accommodated and must find alternative accommodation in the vicinity. G. Game guards (for researchers ONLY): Depending on the type of research being conducted , we will determine if a game guard is required and then necessary arrangements will be made.  If a game guard is required outside of Twee Rivieren, acco mmodation for the game guard will be from the Researcher ’ s expenses.
