We should expect persecution!
Wherever anti-Christian bigotry occurs, there is
darkness. Jesus
tells us we can expect to be hated and persecuted for our
faith.
There
will always be noisy enemies of God.
But
in the midst of darkness, there is Light.
John 15:18-20
; “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated
you. If
you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world,
therefore the world hates you
.
Remember
the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also
.” (
NKJV)
Matthew 5:44; “But
I say to you, love your enemies,
bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you
,” (NKJV

R
easons why the world has bigotry toward
Christians? 5
Why’s?
The
world lacks knowledge of the Bible.
Bible causes a non-believer to feel uncomfortable. World is convicted and challenged as to their agenda(s).
Bible demands accountability.
Bible demands all authority is from God. The world:Do what feels right!Man decides what is right or wrong. The world has no faith in God or fear of God.Slide7

US Government Example(s)
June 26, 2015; Supreme Court's landmark ruling legalizes gay marriage
The
court ruled 5-4 that the Constitution's guarantees of due process and equal protection under the law mean that states cannot ban same-sex marriages
.
June 12, 2015; More than rainbow flags
The US
is trying to "bully" Jamaica to drop its anti-sodomy law, and African countries have complained that the U.S. is doing the same.
CNS News reported in a 2013 story that the United States was facing backlash for pushing countries to accept homosexuality.June 10, 2015; Honor guard nixed for church, OK for 'gay pride‘"The Army has been rather forthcoming with their information. They say that it is against military policy to allow any of their troops to participate in a religious service; and therefore, they decided to turn down this church," he shared. The Fox News reporter added this "by the way" statement to demonstrate the irony of the Army's decision: "The military confirms to us that they will provide an honor guard for this year's 'gay pride' parade in Washington, DC."Slide17
Religious Organization Example
July 2, 2015; Episcopalians
vote to allow gay marriage in churches
SALT
LAKE CITY (AP) —
Episcopalians overwhelmingly voted Wednesday to allow religious weddings for same-sex couples, solidifying the church's embrace of gay rights that began more than a decade ago with the pioneering election of the first openly gay bishop
.
Some
people disagreed, some people disagreed deeply, but we prayed and we listened and we came up with compromises that we believe make room and leave no one behind.“The new rule eliminates gender-specific language from church laws on marriage so that same-sex couples could have religious weddings. Instead of "husband" and "wife," for example, the new church law will refer to "the couple." Under the new rules, clergy can decline to perform the ceremonies. The Episcopal Church joins two other mainline Protestant groups that allow gay marriage in all their congregations: the United Church of Christ and the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). The 3.8-million-member Evangelical Lutheran Church in America lets its congregations decide for themselves, and many of them host gay weddings.Slide18
Youth Organization Example
July 27, 2015; Homosexuals
mentoring
boys
The
executive committee of the Boy Scouts of America unanimously approved a resolution July
10,2015
that would end the ban on homosexual adult leaders,
allowing individual scout units to set their own policy, The Associated Press reported. In a statement Monday, the BSA said the resolution was approved by the executive committee. Later this became official policy when ratified by the organization's larger National Executive Board at a meeting on July 27, 2015.The Boy Scouts dropped its ban on allowing openly homosexual scouts in 2013, though it kept the ban on homosexual leaders at the time. The Boy Scouts of America won a Supreme Court decision in 2000 that allowed the organization to ban homosexuals from its troops. But that legal victory was followed by pressure on the organization to drop its ban. Slide19

Business Example Tylenol
June 23, 2015; Tylenol's
Pro Gay Campaign
Gay and lesbian couples are featured prominently in Tylenol's new #
HowWeFamily
campaign.
A same sex
couple and two gay dads with a baby are among those featured in the campaign's first TV ad. A voiceover declares, "Family isn't defined by who you love, but how."Plus, Tylenol recently used a lesbian couple shown nose to nose in a printed magazine ad. It was included in Good Housekeeping June 2015 issue on page 21, to name one example. At the bottom of the ad it states that Tylenol is a national corporate partner with the Human Rights Campaign.Companies should advertise the quality of their products, or in this case, how and when to take a medication and why it works. Is this a marketing decision they will regret?
This
gay-inclusive commercial is attempting to desensitize viewers.
There is concern about the way this ad is pushing the LGBT agenda, but an even greater concern is the way that
they are attempting to redefine "family
.“

Business Example Wells Fargo
June 9, 2015; Wells Fargo
In
2003, AFA warned that Wells Fargo was beginning to show public support for homosexuality.
They were one of the first companies in America to do so
.
In May, 2015, Wells Fargo released a one-minute
commercial video
featuring two lesbians adopting a little girl.Wells Fargo's history follows a pattern that it has not wavered from. Over the past few years, Wells Fargo has marched in scores of "Gay Pride Parades," advertised monthly in gay magazines and websites, and has endorsed "Gay Pride Month."Wells Fargo has earned Human Rights Campaign's highest "gay" award 13 years in a row, including paying for employee sex-change operations and associated mental therapy.Slide22
Nothing new under the sun!
Ecclesiastes
1:4-10
(NKJV
)
4
One
generation passes away, and
another generation comes; But the earth abides forever. 5 The sun also rises, and the sun goes down, And hastens to the place where it arose. 6 The wind goes toward the south, And turns around to the north; The wind whirls about continually, And comes again on its circuit. 7
All the rivers run into the sea,
Yet the sea
is
not
full; To
the place from which the rivers
come, There
they return
again.
8
All things
are
full of labor;
Man cannot express
it.
The
eye is not satisfied with seeing,
Nor the ear filled with
hearing.
9
That which has been
is
what will
be, That
which
is
done is what will be
done, And
there is
nothing new under the
sun.
10
Is there anything of which it may be said
, “
See, this
is
new
”? It
has already been in ancient times before us
.Slide23

Acts 5:40-42; Rejoice when suffering for Christ.
Judgement of God!
Proverbs
14:34; Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people.2 Chronicles 7:14; if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.Slide24
What can we do?
Pray! Use the map as
a prayer
guide.
Ask God to move upon the hearts of unbelievers, bringing them to the knowledge of salvation
.
Vote! Be active and participate. “We the people…”
Listen & Educate!
Defend yourself if others accuse you of bigotry or hypocrisy:Everyone needs Christ in their life. Every soul is important.Christ has established what is right and wrong in his word.Without Christ he/she will pay the penalty for sin (eternal separation from our creator).Christ has paid the penalty for sin for all the world.A non-Christian will call you a hypocrite because you will continue to make mistakes. We must educate them. This is primarily why they call us a hypocrite and accuse us of bigotry.Be aware and evaluate those who support anti Christian bigotry.Stand Up! Let us not be ashamed of Christ!
