Where it can be of benefit:
Time, energy, resources provided to the newborn Christian; as well as the ones in distress
(1Thess. 1:7; 5:14)
Where it can cause hindrance:
When it impedes the growth of the church, holding back the efforts of workers -- more serious needs go unmet
(Rom. 15:20; 2Cor. 2:12-13)Slide9
Overcome a Constant

Purpose of this Lesson
Has not been
to discourage "attending to others" when it is rightly needed
(Gal. 6:2; Rom. 15:1)
Has been
to challenge you in thinking about your service to Christ
(Gal. 6:4-5)
When a burden becomes unbearable: that is when we need "attention, help, resources of time & energy" from our brethren.
But when failure to bear our own load requires
"A Constant Demand for Attention"
from others, that is when we hinder the cause of Christ!Slide11
Proverbs 18:9

Matthew 11:28-30
28
Come to Me, all
you
who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30
For My yoke
is
easy and My burden is light."
