Software and workloads used in performance tests may have been optimized for performance only on Intel microprocessors. Performance tests, such as SYSmark* and MobileMark*, are measured using specific computer systems, components, software, operations and functions. Any change to any of those factors may cause the results to vary. You should consult other information and performance tests to assist you in fully evaluating your contemplated purchases, including the performance of that product when combined with other products. For more information go to http://www.intel.com/performance.No computer system can provide absolute security under all conditions. Built-in security features available on select Intel® Core™ processors may require additional software, hardware, services and/or an Internet connection. Results may vary depending upon configuration. Consult your system manufacturer for more details. For more information, see http://security-center.intel.com/ Security features enabled by Intel® AMT require an enabled chipset, network hardware and software and a corporate network connection. Intel® AMT may not be available or certain capabilities may be limited over a host OS-based VPN or when connecting wirelessly, on battery power, sleeping, hibernating or powered off. Google* ChromeCast: What it is and is not
IS:A device that turns the laptop, tablet, phone into a “Remote Control” to stream the media content from Internet to TV.Works only with supported applications:
Youtube, Netflix, Hulu Plus, Pandora, Google* Play TV and Movie, Google* Play Music, so far; or through Chrome browser with installation of ChromeCast extension.Expect more apps available using SDK, but SDK requires developers to use certain tools/codecs.Won’t work for the apps already using .NET, Flash, Silverlight, DRM unless the developers change development tools/environments.Supports 1080p video from supported apps(using limited set of codec).Available in US only. IS NOT:Not a screen mirror solution(very limited mirroring function via Chrome browser).Doesn’t support local content, yet, or local non-web apps.No game supported, no other interaction with TV screen except for limited control (all media playback related) on TV via ChromeCast receiverIntel Internal OnlyChromeCast advantages: Low priced Google* branded receiver device($35) (uses similar BOM to WiDi receivers)The mobile device working as “Remote Control” does not serve the data, thus preserving battery life. New features or improvements could be pushed directly to the ChromeCast dongle receiver via Internet. Intel WiDi Advantages:Works with any media content in any codec from anywhere, local or Internet.True screen mirror solution, with low latency. No application dependency with different usage models, covering not only consumer but also business segment. Widely enabled and certified receiving devices including TV, monitor, dongle receivers and projector. More Intel WiDi fully integrated devices are available worldwide. No limit on the workload of the application so that the application can take the full advantage of Intel® Processors.High networking performance with dual band, internal antenna and works at 2.4GHz and 5GHz.Slide30

WiDi vs. AMD* Wireless DisplayThere is an article online disclosed some information of AMD* Wireless Display and also used Intel WiDi as a comparison: http://semiaccurate.com/2013/11/14/amds-wireless-display-real-deal/
Here is the response to the article:On Product Availability for a ConsumerIntel WiDi is a solution that has been on market for years. There are laptop/Ultrabook/Tablet/Phone on the market that are WiDi capable. There are certified WiDi adapters and TVs on the market as well with guaranteed compatibility and quality. While, up to Nov. 2013, there is no retail AMD mobile products that can support wireless display. Intel WiDi solution runs on Windows 7/Windows 8/Windows 8.1 and Android OS as well. While, AMD Wireless Display runs on Windows 8/Windows 8.1.On WiFiThe article is wrong - Intel WiDi solution runs on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz radio frequency. On LatencyOn Windows 7 and Windows 8, Intel WiDi has speed mode that provides a fast game response with less than 60ms latency and quality mode that provides 1080P and S3D audio experience with less than 150ms latency. On Windows 8.1, Intel WiDi speed mode will be implemented by Q2’2014 with less than 60ms latency as target. On Gaming + Miracast usage Currently Intel graphics uses the same EU deal with 3D rendering and video processing, so there will be overhead and delay playing 3D game via WiDi on TV. The Actual latency impact depends on the workload of individual 3D game. The Intel WiDi team is still working to verify with PCOM/PECA whether AMD has dedicated execution hardware to deal with 3D rendering and video separately. So far, there is no AMD mobile products on the market with wireless display function working that we can test against; the response from AMD tech support was wireless display is not supported on AMD platform.Intel Internal OnlySlide32
