NICteaming meansgrouping several physical NICsinto a single logical NIC. NIC teaming enhances fault tolerance by increasing availability of a server’s network connection. Multiple network pathslet youbalancnetwork traffic for better performance. Microsoft Windows Server 2008 HyperV is a scalable, hypervisorbased virtualization platform forprovisioning and managingvirtual server workloads. NIC teaming and virtualized platforms can work together to increaseefficiency of largescale enterprise systems. This HOWTO paper defines a stepstep procedure for installing the software and implementing C teaming.oftwarerequirementsing NIC teaming on an HP ProLiant server in a HyperV environment requires the followingsoftwareHP ProLiant Network Teaming SoftwareHP Network Configuration Utility (NCU) version 10.10 or greater.
