��2014-2015 AID DISBURSEMENT SCHEDULE KEEP FOR REFERENCE GENERAL INFORMATION All disbursements are contingent on receiving funds from federal and/or state agencies and therefore subject to change. Viewing Awards – Students can view awards online by selecting the “View Awards” link on their Student Center page. Students official Award Notifications are emailed to Palomar College addresses only. Students should check their email regularly.Awards and Adjustments Award & enrollment reports are run 10 days prior to each disbursement date. Subsequent changes to enrollment will BOGW California residents only The Board of Governors Fee Waiver (BOGW) waives enrollment fees only. Students can confirm award approval online through Palomar College eServices. BOGW is not awarded retroactively. Enrollment fees paid by the student are refunded after the refund deadline if a BOGW is approved during the semester. SCHOLAR SHIPS Scholarships are disbursed weekly and contingent upon receipt of funds from the donor. Review the 2014 - 2015 Scholarship Disbursement process posted on the Palomar College Financial Aid website. ��2014-2015 AID DISBURSEMENT SCHEDULE KEEP FOR REFERENCE FEDERAL PELL GRANT The Pell Grant award is disbursed Augus t 18 th ( 50% of the award) and October 10 th (100 % of the award). New awards and adjustments are processed at the next disbursement cycle (see schedule below). For example, a student awarded Pell on August 29uld be disbursed on September 19th and October 1. Note: award amounts will be adjusted until the freeze date to account for changes in enrollment or appeal conditions. Additionally, Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) must be met prior to releasing any funds. Disbursement will be delayed if grades from the prior semester have not been posted and reviewed. FALL 201 SPRING 201 scheduled 50% August scheduled 50% Spring, 100% retroactive Fall January new awards, adjustments August 29 new Spring and/or Fall awards, adjustments January 30 new awards, adjustments September 19 new Spring and/or Fall awards, adjustments February 12 scheduled 100% October 1 scheduled 100% Spring, retroactive Fall March new awards, adjustments November 7 new Spring and/or Fall awards, adjustments April 10 new awards, adjustments December 12 new Spring and/or Fall awards, adjustments May 8 WILLIAM D. FORD FEDERAL DIRECT LOAN Subsidized & Unsubsidized Disbursements are made on the next available cycle once all requirements are met. This includes the loan application, MPNentrance and exit loan counseling (as appropriate) and financial literacy workshop (new loan borrowers only). Fall/Spring loans are disbursed once per semester while single semester (Fall only or Spring only) require two disbursements. For semester application deadlines, refer to the Palomar College Financial Aid website’s 2014Financial Assistance Deadlines publication. Students must maintain minimum ½time enrollment (6 units). FALL 2014 SPRING 2015 September 26 February 20 October 31 April 3 November 14 May 15 December 12 FSEOG (grant) SEOG is scheduled for one disbursement per semester. Students must maintain a minimum ½ - time enrollment (6 units). FALL 201 SPRING 201 October 24 MarchNovember 26 May 1 CAL GRANTS (B & C) Students must meet Student Aid Commission and Palomar College Financial Aid Office eligibility requirements prior to disbursement. The Cal Grant award is scheduled for one 100% disbursement per semester. Students must enroll at least ½time (6 units). Awards are prorated for halftime (68.5 units) antime (911.5 units) enrollment. FALL 201 SPRING 201 September 12 February October 17 April 3 November 14 May 15 December 19 FEDERAL WORKSTUDY FWS funds are earned through work. Supervisors must submit time sheets to the Financial Aid Office by the 16th of each month. Checks are mailed on the last business day of each month, provided the time sheet was submitted on time. Arrangements for Direct Deposit can be made through the Payroll Of f ice.
