We are here to talk to you a little about our experience in Chinatown, Chicago! Throughout the next few slides that we are going to show you some interesting things that we found interesting. Here are some ways that Chinatown is different from Oconomowoc! The first thing that struck us a different was that most things there are in chinese. Most people there have imigrated there from china and have yet to learn English. Another thing that struck is is how different the stores were. One of the last things that struck us was the culture, everything there was moving a lot faster. Me and Victoria have been learning chinese for about 3 years.( Because when we are writing this it is the end of our seventh grade year. Please enjoy the following slides about what we learned in our years in chinese and have fun.. By: Josie, Ellie, Jenny and Prachi. Why Chinatown? . We visited Chinatown on October 29th, and chose it because we all have a love for chinese food. We thought it would be interesting to have authentic chinese food as opposed to the ‘Americanized’ chinese food we are all so accustomed to. Also, most of us had not been there before so we wanted to be immersed into a different culture other than our own, which luckily is only a short L ride away.. Stephanie Plautz, Andrew Wegenke.
