Evolution Of Toys

Before

After

By definition a toy is any item used to play or to provide any entertainment. In particular

As we have discussed in class every aspect in common culture has being evolving adapting themselves to the era they stand.

Most

importantly for me is to recognize the massive evolution and modernization that toys have made. In particular it could be said that the market expansion and evolution of toys has being probably the most radical in any aspect of common culture (pop culture) or

trends. For

instance the origin of toys comes way back to the prehistoric era; were dolls representing infants, animals, and soldiers, as well as representations of tools used by adults are readily found at archaeological sites and depicted in cavern drawings. The reason for toys to have the most radical adaptation (modernization) to their era is because of their great importance. Given that toys, and play in general, are important when it comes to growing up and learning about the world around us. The young use toys and play to discover their identity, help kids to grow strong physically and intellectually, learn cause and effect, explore relationships, and practice skills they will need as adults. As seen in a contrast between figure 2 and 4 toys as they change to become more modern become more complex. In this example mentioned we have in figure 2 a toy that helps children understand different quantities and numbers and as for figure 4 you can clearly see a

Bell AH-1 HueyCobra / Cobra with all its details. Increasing the complexity and definition of the simple toy on which the kid can actually now see a basic rough model of the mechanization of the toy. In conclusion there is a trend that as toys keep getting more modern (now utilizing the virtual world with game consoles and computers to give them a more complex perspective) toys get more detailed like if you see a 80’s wooden horse that just depicted the image conceived as a horse, nowadays the same horse toy show the muscles of the horse, they have hair and also include different species of horses as opposed to the same old wooden horse.
