Maintaining/Handling the Rubber PAD
1. Handling the Rubber Pad If the Rubber is bent, the chip will not make contact with the PCB Sharp tweezers or other sharp objects will damage the PAD, if handled improperly Dirt or other dust particles may smudge the PAD, preventing contact with the chip Incorrect Handling Method
1. Handling the Rubber Pad Correct Handling Method Use coated gloves when handling the PAD Handle the PAD only on its edges
2. Cleaning/Maintaining the Rubber PAD Incorrect Maintenance/Cleaning Method Using a cotton swab with cleaning chemicals or even water will either damage or melt the Rubber PAD Using a brush of any form will leave dust or dirt on the Rubber PAD

Cleaning/Maintaining the Rubber PAD Correct Maintenance/Cleaning Method Using 3M SCOTCH MAGIC TAPE to remove the dust/dirt left on the Rubber PAD If using an AIR GUN, hold the gun approximately 10cm directly above the Rubber PAD Apply 3M SCOTCH MAGIC TAPE onto the area where the Chip and the Rubber PAD make contact to remove the dust/dirt Recommended Model : 3M – MP - 18 Warning : Applying too much pressure onto the Rubber PAD may cause damage 10Cm
