National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) Updated 9 / 201 9 Hawkeye Area Council Chapter The National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) is an alumni association for Eagle Scouts of all ages. Members receive a membership packet and four issues of Eagles’ Call magazine each year. NESA membership fees help fund the NESA scholarship program, which awards over 200 scholarships to Eagle Scouts each year. Membership is a great way for alumni to stay in touch with fellow Eagle Scouts around the world and mentor the next generation of Scouts who aspire to reach Scouting’s highest rank. Membership in the national NESA organization is described below. You MUST be a member of NESA to qualify for NESA scholarships. The Hawkeye Area Council started a NESA Chapte r (HAC NESA) in late 2013, and our committee was formed to recognize a council recipient of the Adams Eagle Scout Service Project of the Year Award, which is forwarded up the line for possible Regional and National recognition. We decided to also rec ognize outstanding projects in each of our D istricts. A t the 2014 Council Recognition Event , the HAC NESA Committee awarded the first NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Awards ( NOESA) at the HAC Council Dinner to Aaron Randolph, Jr for 2013 and Bruce Hamous for 2014 . The NOESA is approved by the local C ounci l and submitted to N ational for final approval. The nominee must be an Eagle Scout, and have provided significant service to Scouting and the community.
