Who Uses the NIMAC?

One state NIMAC Coordinator “names” up to five Authorized Users (AU) who can download files from the NIMAC.

States also contract with Accessible Media Producers (AMP) to get files ready for students.

Bookshare functions as both an AU and an AMP, depending on the stateEducators obtain NIMAC books from Bookshare – process depends on the state3Slide4

Check with your State Coordinator to see what contracts are in place with publishers.Be sure textbook purchasers stipulate NIMAS files in publisher contracts.
