Thewreckcanbeenteredfairlyeasily,butduetoitssize,thisshouldberestrictedonlytodiverswithadvanced wreckdivingtraining. BristolBeaufighter Level: Advanced MaximumDepth: 7metres uringWorldWarII,in1943,theBristolBeaufighterwasflyingoutofMaltabutunderwentmechanicalfailureandcrashed. TheBeaufightercrashlandedintheseaandisstilllyingintheexactposition,atadepthof37metresrightoutsideSt.Julians. Slightlysmaller,shallowerandinabrighterconditionthantheBomber,theBristolBeaufighterisahighlyregardeddiveamongourguests.Only15minutesbyboatfromthedivecentreoffStJulians,thisisatreatfortheexperienced. This27mlongminesweepercarriedoutdutiesforbothWorldWarsbutmetherdoomduringWWIIwhilepatrollingMalta'sharbourwaters. Whilereturningfromherminesweepingduties, shewasstruckbyanItalianmineandsank. Onecanseethedamagecausedbythemineonherstarboardsideassheliesuprightontheseabed. DivingonthiswreckisconsidereddangerousduetoitscloseproximityoftheGrandHarbourentrance. HMSStubborn Level: Technical MaximumDepth: 7metres MSStubbornwasanSclasssubmarineoftheRoyalNaxy,andpartoftheThirdGroupbuiltofthatclass. ShewasbuiltbyCammellLairdandlaunchedonNovember11,1942. Sofar,shehasbeentheonlyshipoftheRoyalNavytobearthenameStubborn. Stubbornspentthewarinhomewaters,operatingofftheScandinaviancoast,andinthePacificFarEast. WhileonpatrolintheBayofBiscay,shefiredtorpedoesatagroupofthreeGermansubmarinesescortedbytwodestroyers. ThetorpedoeshowevermissedtheirtargetsandtheattackwasnotobservedbytheGermans.
