MN CE Training has Two Training Options Student Auditor

Student vs. Auditor Roles StudentWorks with individual requiring CE-Discovery & CE-Job DevelopmentReceives mentoring supports throughout MN CE Training Completes homework a ssignments that support CE-Discovery & CE-Job Development Concludes CE Training with completed CE plan for individual they have supported/served Receives certificate for completing ACRE certified CE training Submits their completed CE plan to VRS for competency review *Recommended for anyone providing CE Services Auditor Actively participates in class activities Provides feedback on the training Receives certificate for completing ACRE certified CE training *Recommended for Designated Coordinators, Supervisors/Managers, VRS Counselors, Work Coordinators

MN CE Training Homework Expectations Day 2 homework: allow 6-8 hours and 4 weeks to completeDay 3 homework: allow 15 hours and 5 weeks to complete Day 4 homework: allow 10 hours and 5 weeks to complete Day 6 homework: allow 8-10 hours and 4-6 weeks to complete

What Will it Cost? Trainers & Mentors Minnesota CE Training Manual Nominal Cost for Training Supplies Annual ACRE Certification Costs 725.00 each for students and auditors $ 725. 00

2019 Dates and Locations for MN CE Training Cohort 1 (Metro): January 23rd & 24 th February 20 th March 27 th April 29 th & 30 th *Students & Auditors must attend all 6 training dates Cohort 2 (St. Cloud) : January 30 th & 31 st February 27 th April 4 th May 8 th & 9 th

Preparation for Students

After registration is complete, hold an initial team meeting for the job seekerInitial meetings are an opportunity to obtain team buy-in for a process of finding individualized employment. Explain the training and the length of the process for the purposes of this learning environment (approximately 4 months). Sign Consent to Release Private Information forms- specify the MN CE mentor and anyone important to the person that might be talked to by the student to gather information about the job seeker, additional people may need to be listed Explain that you will be taking photos and videos of the job seeker engaged in work, volunteer, and everyday life activities to put together a visual resume to present to potential employers Ensure a transportation system in place Home visit is an expectation of success for the learning purposes of this class

Determining Demand for MN CE Training We need to hear from Community Rehabilitation Providers and other interested agencies regarding interest in the MN CE Training.
