WHY SHOULD A CLUB UNDERTAKE TEACHER TRAINING ?

According to the Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) 2014:

reading levels of students are low. In Std. VIII 25% students still cannot read Std. II level text.

The report further suggests that students are struggling with mathematics. In 2014, only 25.3% of Std. III children could do a two digit subtraction.

WHY DOES

RILM

PRESCRIBE SUPPPLEMENTAL TEACHING?

The

learning

level of students is low.

One approach to address this can

be

to involve volunteer teachers in schools, who willprovide

subject support to the students and also

engage

in Co-curricular activities.

The

Volunteer Teacher can assist the students to strengthen the reading and writing skills
