Tel: +44 (0) 114 2637900 Fax: +44 (0) 114 2637901 Range of Motion Knee Brace (ROM) Please follow the review advice given to you by the orthotist.If you require an appointment before this time, please contactOrthotic Department Tel: ____________________________ 19 To restrict some knee movements to protect your knee during rehabilitation.The brace also provides some support at the side of your knee.The knee joint may be altered to allow di�erent amounts of movementat your knee during rehabilitation.There may be no movement allowed at the beginning of your treatment.You should not attempt to adjust the joints yourself.You should only wear the brace as advised by your Orthotist/Doctor/Therapist.Wrap the brace around your leg making sure the hinge joints are in line withyour knee. This is where your knee bends.Pull the bands around and press down to fasten comfortably.Finally fasten the Hook and Loop straps by pulling through the ‘D’ ring.These straps should be �rm but not so tight as to restrict your circulation.To clean the foam bands wash by hand in warm soapy water at 40ºc.Remove the foam bands carefully from the metal sides.Take note of which way and where they should be replaced as theyFasten the Hook and Loop straps before washing.Do not tumble dry or dry over direct heat, as this will damage the material.
