Consumerlab.com Update : On No v ember 9, 2013, a company named C onsumerlab.com published a review of different Garcinia Cambogia supplements. Fourteen products were tested; 6 of those products did not pass, according to Consumerlab.com . Labrada Nutrition’s SuperCitrimax® brand of Garcinia Cambogia , lot # 80310513 , was reportedly among those that did not pass. We, at Labrada, believe that our SuperCitrimax® brand of Garcinia Cambogia me ets label claims. Labrada has always had a reputation for meeting or exceeding label claim on all of our products, for over 18 years . We take these matt e rs seriously. Since receiving the Consumerlab.com review, Labrada has secured four tests by reputabl e testing labs, including tests of the very same lot # 80310513 tested by Consumerlab.com. After r uling out errors by the laboratories , we discovered that lot # 80310513 ( originally tested by Consumerlab.com ) both passed and failed in subsequent lab tests . These inconsistent results for the same lot do not make sense. For this reason Labrada is continuing to investigate the variation in test results in order to do what can be done to ensure that Labrada products continue to meet label claims. Among the tests conducted, Labrada secured testing of the raw material, which is supposed to contain 60% HCA by weight or 600mg HCA per gram. The test results showed 630mg HCA per gram – which is 105% of the label claim. Labrada also tested the finished produ ct from the same lot # and got results that showed 98.3% of label claim as well as 81.2%, 86.5%, and 4 9.1% (s ee results below ). Labrada Garcinia Cambogia Analytical Test Results Date Analyte Label Test Capsule Weight Capsule Weight Method Standard Tested Tested Claim Results Label Claim Test Results Used Used 11/10/2013 HCA 936mg 60.2% 1560 mg N/A N/A USP/Chromadex 11/15/2013 Raw Mat. 60% HCA 63% HCA N/A N/A Kucera USP 11/20/2013 HCA 936mg 81.2% 1560 mg 1624 mg Kucera USP 11/20/2013 HCA 936mg 98.3% 1560 mg 1562 mg Kucera USP 11/20/2013 HCA 936mg 86.5% 1560 mg 1566 mg Kucera USP 11/27/2013 HCA 936mg 49 . 1 % 1560 mg 15 7 0 mg Kucera USP We are unaware of these type test variances occurring in a standardized material, especially if the capsules are filled to meet label claim (which we believe the test results above show they did ). For this reason Labrada will continue to investigate what could possibly have caused tests results “all over the board ” for this lot, despite the fact that the raw materials tested pure and the capsules made their target fill weights. Sincerely, Dave Ramirez Vice President, Research & Product Development Labrada Nutrition Gardere01 - 6390855v.1
