New design features for ANDRITZ SEPARATION D-type decanters ena ble significant – up to 40% – reduction of total power consumption while maintaining throughput and efficien cy. With power costs rising, this level of power savings translates into a very fast return on investment. The power-saving features are available on new D5 to D10 decanters. The TurboJet weir plate is also offered as a retrofit. Adjustable nozzles form a jet similar to a jet engine’s exhaust and provide a thrust force. This extra force aids the bowl rotation and reduces power consumption.
