ORIGIN-THE FIRST FALL

Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!

how

art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in

thine

heart,

I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Slide9

thy covering, the

and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou

wast

created.

Eze 28:14 Thou

art

the anointed cherub that

; and I have set thee

so:

thou

wast

upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil

Exodus 20:17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s.”

1Corinthians 3:3-5 for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way? 4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it his not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or

resentfuL

Slide17

Ephesians 5:3 But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. 4 Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. 5 For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.Slide18

Romans 13:13 Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy.James 3:14-15 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.

Slide19

Jealousy causes hopelessness and depression.

Jealousy makes you mean and cruel (Song of Solomon 8:6).

Jealousy is more detrimental than wrath or anger (Proverbs 27:4).

Slide20

When you walk in jealousy, you have limited power

Unwise comparisons open the door to envy and jealousy (2 Corinthians 10:12).People who compare themselves with others are without understanding.

To compare is to belittle what God has done in your lifeSlide21

Jealous people are unspiritual and walk in the flesh (1 Corinthians 3:3).Walking in the flesh is a way of thinking that opposes the Word of God.

There is no profit to walking in the flesh.

God has not called you to walk as mere menSlide22

Jealousy makes you bitter, and where jealousy exists there is disorder and the potential for every evil work (James 3:14). The spirit of jealousy will lead you down a path that could ultimately destroy your life.

Jealousy brings confusion.

Wherever there is envy, there is disorder and every evil work (James 3:16).Slide23

WRONG THINKING ,UNBELIEF AND UNGRATEFULNESS LEAD TO Feeling as though your needs will not be met.

Doubting your self-worth and whether you have what it takes to succeed in life.

Feeling

powerless.Insecurity

. Slide24

COMMON CHARACTERISTICS OF JEALOUSYIn some cases, if a friend or spouse is talking with someone else, a jealous person may get quiet or have a mood change. This might be an attempt to hide jealousy. If the person seems to get angry but will not say why, this can also be an indication of jealous.

Sometimes a jealous person will have a need to call or see a partner often and will get upset when they cannot be reached. If a person gets unreasonably upset when there is not enough contact, or always wants to know his partner's whereabouts, it could be an indication of jealousy and insecurity.

Slide25

Often a jealous person will tear someone down or try to make them feel insecure. For example, if you share good news with a jealous person, she might counter it with a negative remark as opposed to being happy for you. If another person compliments you or finds you attractive, a jealous person will most likely get upset or angry if she perceives it as a threat.

Slide26

JEALOUSY IS ALWAYS ABOUT FEAR OF BEING DISPLACED.LEADERSHIP WHO FEAR LOSING CONTROL IT ALSO CAN COME IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS.

WITHIN THE CHURCH: SOMEONE ELSE BEING CHOSEN TO FINISH WHAT YOU LABORED TO SEE DONE

SOME ONE RECEIVING REVELATION ELSWHERE AFTER YEARS OF SITTING UNDER A CERTAIN MINISTRY

COMPARISON OF SELF TO SOMEONE ELSES ABILITIES AND PERCIEVING OTHERS THINK YOU LESS

Slide27

HOW TO DEFEAT JEALOUSY

1Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it his not arrogant

Philippians 2:3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves

Php

4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Php

4:7 And the peace of God, which

passeth

all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Slide28

Proverbs 14:30 A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh, but envy makes the bones rot.

Php

4:11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

Php

4:12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

Php

4:13 I can do all things through Christ which
