Description:

What can you learn from the title of this artwork? Well the title is the Japanese footbridge (1899), from this I can learn that the painting is originated from japan and it is a piece of artwork representing a footbridge. The tall green grass and the green nature background really make the Lilly pad flowers ethicize. Color makes the artwork more noticeable and value makes it seem more alive and relative. And He made the background naturally green and had the pink Lilly pads stand out. Slide3

analysis

I would say that the Lilly pads stood out the most, because most of the colors green but the flowers are pink. there's a lot of nature green color that creates a calm and settle feeling. It looks ideal, because you can see that there's not many things that are unusual. the Lilly pads make a zig zag pattern on the stream. The water stream looks like its softly and slowly moving down stream with the flowers. The different shades of green divide the different plants to look as if there in no sort of pattern.Slide4

Interpretation:

Is there symbolism in the artwork? Yes, there's a lot of green nature that makes it feel quite and calm. The calm feeling in the painting makes the artwork even more special, since there so many troubles in the world that our imagination and feelings can distract us from that. This piece of artwork doesn’t remind me of anything but the way I feel when I'm in the zone to work in school or looking out in space daydreaming. This art work relates to the moments with family that we enjoy. This painting reminds me of those memories of something that was lost, there's been so much destruction that we haven’t even thought about how it could be better.Slide5

Judgment

I feel that this artwork was a success, because this piece of artwork looks amazing, the quality and color feels like you can actually walk into it. The colors go very well together, I like how the different shades don’t fade into each other and look dimensional. I don’t feel that this painting is very unique because its not out there its more of a memorial than an unbelieved futuristic item. This painting is perfect, I believe there's no flaws the only thing I would change is the color of the water, because it should be more blue than a greenish brownSlide6
