Reasons of choosing Inconel alloy 625 Alloy 625 has excellent corrosion resistance, as indicated by a pitting resistance equivalent number (PREN) greater than 45, much higher than alloy 718 and Super Duplex stainless steels. Physical properties are helpful for applications such as down hole eq uipment and oil and gas exploration tools. The chemical processing industry presents many potential applications due to its excellent resistance to oxidation and acid reduction, durability, and ease of processing. Therefore, it is used for valve adjustment in the most demanding end applications in this market segment. Sensors and thermocouples benefit from Inconel 625’s high impact resistance, wide operating temperature range, and easy automation.
