Well… Although I wasn’t born in the Philippines, my parents were. Which makes me known as a ‘Filipino-Canadian.’ I was raised with the traditions of being a Filipino, my parents even taught me how to cook rice when I was younger. I also learned how to do the traditional dance in the Philippines, which is called ‘
Tinikling
.’ As I grew up, I spent time with my family friends ever since I was small. I’m glad to have some Filipino blood in me. I’m proud that I’m a Filipina, also because I love the food we eat as well..!
