SAPA BOSS Proposal Contact Information Student Name: Student Alliance for People of All Abilities (SAPA) Henry Mishek, Shaker Dukkipati Email: henry.mishek@unmc.edu College: COM, MMI, Graduate Studies Phone: 5135017813 Proposal Information The students, staff, and faculty of all colleges who are interested in working in a healthcare field with individuals who have been diagnosed with a disability affectingmobility, comprehension, language, etc. Our current membership includes a wide variety of UNMC’s students. The proposal will be for funding an online curriculum sponsored by SAPA called “The Deaf Community, Accessibility and Language: An curriculum consists of didacts pertaining to Deaf Culture as well as American Sign Language (ASL) instruction with an emphasis on medical terminology. In the 20192020 school yearwe hosted 5 total workshops with an average of 20 participants at each. The College of Public Health, College of Medicine, being offered on an online platform via Zoom presentations by our speakers. The participants are also able to practice ASL with mem
