Introduction to community helpers

A community is a place where people live, work, and play. We call it a neighborhood.

Community helpers are people who help us in our neighborhood. They can help us by keeping us safe, making sure we are healthy, cooking food for us, or teaching us.

Let's

take a walk in our neighborhood and learn about community helpers!

http://youtu.be/kwhYZcFNWv0Slide3

Your task is to learn about the different community helpers in our community. Pay attention to what they do, the tools they use, and how they help in our community.

At the end of the turboquest you will pick your favorite community helper that you have learned about. You will then write a story and draw a picture about that community helper.
