Humans vs. Zombies is a game of tag. All players begin as humans and one human is randomly chosen to be the Original Zombie. The OZ tags human players and turns them into Zombies.Slide3

The Winner

The Zombies win when all human players have been tagged and turned into Zombies. The Humans win by surviving and succeeding in the final mission.Slide4

The

most important rule in

HvZ

is to treat your fellow players with respect and gracefully accept when you have been tagged or stunned. Slide7

Safe Zones:

While inside any of these safe zones, Humans are safe from being tagged and Zombies are safe from being stunned:

CONSTRUCTION ZONES:

If you are found within a construction zone at any time, you will be immediately removed from the game and will face further consequences.Slide10

CHAPEL

From 9am-11am on Wednesday and Friday, HvZ will take a 2 hour break for Chapel. This is a designated time that all HvZ participants must abide by or will be removed from play immediately. Slide11

“Safe”

Humans: You must have both feet securely inside the safe zone to be considered safe. You are allowed to stun a zombie from a safe zone

Zombies

:

You must have both feet securely inside the safe zone to be considered safe. You are not allowed to tag a human while they are inside a safe

zone. You are not “live” if you tag a human from inside. Slide12

Required Academic Events:

Students that are required to attend academic events are safe for the duration of the event (even if the event is in a free-play zone) but they are not safe on the way to or from the event.Slide13

Human Rules

Stunning a ZombieHumans

may stun a Zombie for 15 minutes by blasting them with a dart blaster or throwing a sock at

them

You are not allowed to use the Nerf Gun itself as a melee weapon to be considered as a “tag”Slide14

Wearing a Bandana

Humans must wear a headband around their arm to identify them as players of the game at all timesSlide15

When tagged by a Zombie

When tagged by a Zombie, a Human is required to provide their ID number to the Zombie.

One

hour after being tagged, you must tie your bandana around your

head

you are now a member of the Zombie Team!Slide16

Zombie Rules

Wear your headbandThe Zombie team must wear a bandana around their head at all timesSlide17

Tagging

A tag is a firm touch to any physical part of their body. A confirmed tag excludes hair, bags and nerf guns

After

tagging a Human, the Zombie must collect their ID card. Tags must be reported within 3 hoursSlide18

Feeding

Zombies must feed every 48 hours. A Zombie feeds by reporting their tags on the HvZ

Getting Shot

When shot with a dart blaster or hit with a sock, a Zombie is stunned for 15 minutes. A stunned Zombie may not interact with the game in anywayThis includes shielding other Zombies from bullets or continuing to run toward a humanSlide20

Getting Shot

If a zombie is re-shot while already stunned the time does not restart Before rejoining the game from being stunned, you must go into a safe zone, put your bandana back on then join.

Stunned

Zombies may not follow humans and must leave the immediate area of where they were

stunned.

You

must remove yourself from sight from the group of humans that you were engaged with and stunned by Slide21

Original Zombie

The Original Zombie (OZ) follows all of the same rules as a regular Zombie except for a few differencesThe OZ becomes infected at 12:01am on Monday,

Non-Players

Blasting non-players with darts or socks is a BANNABLE OFFENSE. People who are not registered participants may not directly interact with the game. This includes:Bringing food to HumansSpying on or for either teams

Class Attendance

As a participant of Humans vs. Zombies, you are required to attend your classes. If moderators get word you are ditching class because of game-play, you will be removed from play. Professors are aware of game play and have been encouraged to let us know if you have been ditching class! Slide24

Missions

Players are required to attend 2 missions and the final mission. There is no limit to how many missions you can participate in. Missions Locations & Times:

Humans:

Monday-9pm in the Student Union

Tuesday-9pm in the Student Union

Wednesday- 9pm in the Student Union

Thursday- 9pm in the Student Union

Friday-9pm in the Student Union

Zombies:

Monday-9pm in the Warrior Arena (New Gym)

Tuesday-9pm in the Warrior Arena (New Gym)

Wednesday- 9pm in the Warrior Arena (New Gym)

Thursday- 9pm in the Warrior Arena (New Gym)
