In Wonderland, analyze the “villains” the Evil Queen (Snow White) and the Red Queen (Alice in Wonderland).
Regina originally had light magic. She loved children, her horse, and the stable boy. She never wanted to be a queen or practice magic; she was not aware she possessed magic. Throughout the first season, audiences observed that her mother, Cora, and Snow White drove Regina to become evil. Snow White was unaware of Cora’s schemes, but together they killed Regina’s love and made her an unwilling queen. But, she discovered magic as an outlet and Regina’s hate towards her mothers choices turned her magic dark; she makes her mother disappear. Regina loved the power and control too much and takes out her heart.
If you were a peasant living on nothing, would you jump through a magical mirror that would take you to a new land? Anastasia did, to find happiness with her true love Will Scarlet. But, is happiness enough? Anastasia traded her love for power, and that power lead her to Cora. Cora, ashamed of Regina, teaches Anastasia what magic can do; however,

agic comes at a price. Anastasia takes out and hides her heart so that she does not feel the price of magic; she is hard and cold. Audiences observed in the season that Anastasia still loves Will and that she is not as heartless as she seems. Her heart is what makes her good.
