Government of India has amended Rule 54 of the Arms Rule 1962 recently and decided to create a National Database of Arms License. The National Database is now on implementation phase nationwide. As per direction of MHA, Government of India, unless the deta ils of Licensee, retainer, Arms Details, Ammunition Quota, Area validity, details of last 2 renewals etc. are uploaded in the system and an Unique ID is generated & available on the License, the license shall be treated as invalid. Hence all categories of Licensees (i.e. individual, institution etc) under Kolkata Police Jurisdiction are directed to down load the format , fill it up properly and submit to the office of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Reserve Force (Arms Act Dept), 18 Lalbazar Street, Kolkata 700 001 by 29/02/2016 without fail for uploading the data in the National System and generation of Unique ID.
