On detailed examinationofhis baggage and on per-sonal search, one gold chainand a gold bracelet were reco-vered from the accused. Totalweight ofthe seized gold wasmeasured to be about 922grams, which was assessed tobe worth Rs 25.05 lakh, cus-toms officials said.On Monday, another per-son was arrested in a similarcase for trying to smuggle ingold worth Rs 62 lakh at theairport.The passenger, who hailsfrom Delhi, was interceptedby the customs officials afterhis arrival from Dubai. On detailed examinationofhis baggage and personalsearch, gold bars weighingabout 2.5 kg were seized.
