Clinton on May 14,1998 made the following statement. “Congress has conferred on tribes numerous provisions of law that are meant to assist in their economic future that is necessary to improve the government-to-government relations whereby all people respect the rights of sovereign tribal government to maintain the healthy and productive resources of their lands and people.”Slide5
