GETTING INVOLVED Committees 6

GETTING INVOLVED 7 Steering Advisory Group for Energy (SAG-E)Formed in 2010 as a mirror committee of the International Standards Organization’s Strategic Advisory Group on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Sources. Develop standardization roadmap for the energy sectorDevelopment of gap analysis undertaken by stakeholders and identification of high priority areas,Develop proposals for future actions and possible further research or studies,Provide advice on co-ordination with relevant organizations such as ISO, CEN, CENELEC, IEA, EPRI and others to be identified and identify opportunities to be pursued with the view to collecting input, developing joint projects/initiatives, raising awareness and promoting participation of SABS stakeholders through relevant SABS technical committees,Provide input, oversight and advice on interventions to the ISO Council Task Force on Energy and its Strategic Advisory Group,Identification of areas of market failure where standards are needed, as well as new fields of standardization of interest to the energy sector,Identification of areas where there are overlaps and ensure synergy and optimization
