A short section of the Lolo Motorway has closed due to the Greenside Fire. Road 500 is closed from its junction with Weitas Butte Road 557 (just east of Rocky Ridge Lake Campground) to its junction with Liz Butte Road 560. Road 500 is closed from Pete Forks Junction, east , to No - See - Um Meadows. Motor ists traveling on other parts of Road 500 should bring chain saws and be prepared to remove fallen trees from the roadway. Be sure to contact the Powell Ranger Station, (208) 942 - 3113 for updates. 101 Smith Creek CLOSED 08/ 2 9 /15 Smith Creek Road 101, from its junction with Highway 12, Syringa, to its terminus near Mex Mountain, has closed due to wildfire activity in the area. C ontact the Lochsa Ranger Station, (208) 926 - 4274 for updates. 100 Lo lo Breaks (Musselshell) PARTIALLY OPEN Proceed with care! 08/ 2 9 /15 Road 100 is open from its junction with Highway 12, Kamiah, to the Clearwater National Forest boundary near Pheasant Camp. The remainder of the road i s closed due to the Motorway Complex Fire. T he road was closed last summer due to a severe slump near Lolo Creek Campground. A temporary, single lane bypass has been constructed to allow vehicle passage. Forest Service engineers are working on a more per manent solution prevent future slumps and landslides in this area.
