Hebrews 9:23-24

Therefore

it was

necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

24

For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands,

which are

copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for usSlide3

Did you know?

Did you know that Moses received the 10 Commandments from God at Mt. Sinai?

Well, did you also know that he received the instructions for the tabernacle at the same time?

1 CHAPTER OF THE BOOK OF EXODUS!

14 CHAPTERS OF THE BOOK OF EXODUS!Slide4

According to the Pattern

Exodus 25:8-9

And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.

According to all that I show you,

that is,

the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it.Slide5

Typeology of the Tabernacle

A pattern was provided for the worship in the Old Testament

The pattern also gave a glimpse of the pattern for the church in the New TestamentSlide6

A Walk Through the Tabernacle

This morning, we would like to take a tour of the tabernacle.Slide7

Once a year, the High Priest was allowed to enter the Holy of Holiest, or Most Holy Place.

20

by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,

21

and

having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.Slide43

MOST HOLY PLACE

On the Day of Atonement, or Yom Kippur, the High Priest would pass through the veil and enter the Most Holy Place.Slide44

city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in
